BURTON Albion are delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Elliot Hodge on a short-term contract until January.
Hodge has been training with The Brewers throughout pre-season and has subsequently been snapped up by manager Nigel Clough.
The 22-year-old featured in several pre-season friendlies for Clough’s side after leaving Notts County at the end of last season.
Hodge, the son of former Nottingham Forest and England midfielder Steve, said he was delighted to put pen-to-paper at the Pirelli Stadium.
“I’m delighted - I’ve been training for a long time here so it’s nice to get it done,” said Hodge.
“I’ve been here from the start of pre-season and the lads have been really welcoming.
“I’m looking forward to being around it - the manager thinks I can improve being around all the players.
“I want to be involved, I want to enjoy my football and see where it goes.”
Hodge will wear squad number 21. The club is waiting for confirmation from The FA that Hodge will be available for tomorrow’s game against Gillingham.
