THE Brewers make their first away trip of the season tomorrow, with Nigel Cloughs side travelling to Priestfield to face Gillingham.

Burton Albion are unbeaten in their last three games against Gillingham. The Brewers have won four of their nine meetings, also losing four and drawing one.

JAMIE Allen is the biggest injury doubt heading into Saturday's first away game of the League One season at Gillingham (kick off 3pm).

Brewers manager Nigel Clough said: "We were pretty clear after the Rochdale game in terms of injuries and the only one who has missed any training is Jamie Allen.

"His back seized up a bit so he will miss Tuesday and Wednesday training but hopefully he will be OK to train Friday. But we will have to see how he is especially with the journey and sitting on a bus for three hours.

"Jake Buxton is also carrying a couple of knocks and coudn't do much at the start of the week. Apart from that everyone is fine.”

Gillingham have a number of injured players closing in on a return.

Midfielder Callum Reilly is one of them after being left out last weekend with a hamstring strain. Manager Steve Lovell told the press on Thursday that he is another week away from selection.

Tom Eaves made the bench for the opening game, after recovering from an ankle injury.

Lee Probert refereed 21 Premier League games last season and gave out 24 yellow cards. He also took charge of three League One games.
