BURTON Albion Football Club is offering you the chance to play on the Pirelli Stadium pitch and test your football skills alongside your work colleagues at a special five-a-side tournament.

The Burton Albion Corporate Five-a-Side Tournament (sponsored by Booker Wholesale) offers a rare chance to play on the same pitch that has seen Nigel Clough’s Brewers team beat Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Burnley this season and where Euro Under 17s games were played last summer.

Is your business ready for the challenge? It promises to be a great day out which includes a four-course meal alongside special guest and former Premier League referee Jeff Winter as well as a chance to play on the Pirelli Stadium pitch.

Burton Albion Commercial Director Fleur Robinson said: “This is a rare opportunity to play football on the Pirelli Stadium pitch and I’m sure lots of local companies will want to take this chance to get out there and take on other teams of work colleagues.

“We have already had a lot of interest, and we expect that competition to be a very popular, high quality corporate event.”

Brian Davies, from headline sponsors Booker Wholesale, said : "We are delighted to be sponsoring this tournament. I'm sure that it will be a great occasion and that all the teams will enjoy getting a chance to play on the Pirelli Stadium pitch where the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Jordan Henderson and Jamie Vardy have all stepped out.  We are expecting some competitive and enjoyable football action and some great rivalry between local firms."

The event takes place on Friday, May 10, 2019, and the cost is £650 for ten people plus VAT (eight players, manager and assistant manager).

Every team is guaranteed to play a minimum of four games (60 minutes playing time). Group winners will contest semi-finals and finals.

A donation from the tournament proceeds will go towards Burton Albion Community Trust’s disability projects.
