A RARE chance to play on the Pirelli Stadium pitch has seen businesses rushing to sign up for a special tournament.
The Burton Albion Corporate Five-a-Side Tournament (sponsored by Booker Wholesale) will take place on May 10 and is already attracting a lot of interest.
Among the first teams to register is Wilo UK.
Morgan Warren-Ross, from Wilo UK, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to have a team play on the hallowed turf of the Pirelli, against some great local businesses and in support of the fantastic Burton Albion Community Trust – bring it on!”
Dains Accountants are also up for the football challenge.

There is still time to enter your business in what will be a great day out and which includes a four-course meal alongside special guest and former Premier League referee Jeff Winter.
Burton Albion Commercial Director Fleur Robinson said: “This is a rare opportunity to play football on the Pirelli Stadium pitch and I’m sure lots of local companies will want to take this chance to get out there and take on other teams of work colleagues.
“We are delighted that businesses have already signed up and we expect the competition to be a very popular, high quality corporate event.”
The tournament takes place on Friday, May 10, 2019, and the cost is £650 for ten people plus VAT (eight players, manager and assistant manager).
Every team is guaranteed to play a minimum of four games (60 minutes playing time). Group winners will contest semi-finals and finals.
A donation from the tournament proceeds will go towards Burton Albion Community Trust’s disability projects.
