PREVIEW: LUTON TOWN VS BREWERS

THE Brewers will be hoping to hand a defeat to high-flying Luton Town when they travel to Kenilworth Road this afternoon.

The Brewers have faced Luton Town twice and have won both times. The latest meeting came in 2015. Matt Palmer scored a 79th minute winner to send Albion back to Staffordshire with all three points.

The Brewers squad will be depleted, with a host of players doubtful through injury and illness.

The Brewers are likely to go into Christmas without Marvin Sordell, David Templeton, Liam Boyce and Kyle McFadzean who are all still struggling with their injuries while John Brayford is suffering from knocks picked up at Middlesbrough.

 

LUTON TOWN TEAM NEWS 

No fresh injury concerns have been reported for Luton ahead of today’s game, although manager Nathan Jones could utilise the depth in his squad during a busy period of fixtures.

 

OFFICIALS

Craig Hicks is the man in the middle today. He has taken charge of eight League One games this season and has issued 34 yellow cards. Hicks has also awarded one penalty and given one red card.
