ALLEN SAYS BREWERS ARE APPROACHING LEAGUE AND CUP THE SAME WAY

24 December 2018

JAMIE Allen says that the Brewers have not treated their Carabao Cup matches any differently this season but they have just been more clinical in that competition.

Albion are yet to keep a clean sheet away from home in the league this season, while they shut-out Championship side Middlesbrough in the cup quarter-final last week.

Allen says that the side have not been approaching cup games any differently but thinks that luck has played its part, as has the Brewers efficiency in front of goal.

He said:  “I think that other teams have been getting a bit lucky against us. I think that we have deserved some clean sheets in the games that we gave played.

“Against Middlesbrough, we got a clean sheet away from home against a Championship side. They missed a great chance as well, so you need the luck as well but it just not coming off for us in the league at the minute.

“We are taking every game as it comes and we are trying to play the same was in the league and the cup. I think that we have just taken our chances more in the cup and we seem to find the finer details that aren’t coming off in the league.”
