MILLER HOPES TO START 2019 STRONGLY

31 December 2018

WILL Miller was delighted to score his first goal of the season against Plymouth Argyle and hopes to get 2019 started positively against Bristol Rovers tomorrow.

Miller opened the scoring at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday after just four minutes as he swept home Ben Fox’s low cross. It was the former Tottenham Hotspur player’s first Brewers goal since 2016, when he was on-loan at the club.

He was pleased to open his account for the season.

He said: “I am pleased because it is something that I have been thinking about, trying to get on the scoresheet to try and get going. We wanted to get a goal early on and it was good for me personally.”

Miller is now looking ahead to tomorrow’s clash with Bristol Rovers, Albion’s first match of 2019. The forward says that the Brewers are hoping to start the new year in the right way.

He said: “We are looking forward to the game so we will see what happens. I think that we just need to focus on ourselves and keep playing the way that we are playing.

“I think that we are playing good football and hopefully we can take our chances and come away with the three points.”
