YOUNG Brewer Oliver Fairbrother has won the Gresley FC supporters’ player of the month award for December.
Fairbrother first joined the Moatmen on-loan in October and has become a regular starter for the club, making 13 appearances to date.
Despite a poor run of form in December for Gresley, Fairbrother has been recognised for his fine displays between the sticks and was voted supporters’ player of the month for the final award of 2018.
The Academy goalkeeper is just one of the Academy players to gain first team experience out on-loan this season. Striker Kyle Clamp spent time out on-loan with John McGrath’s Mickleover Sports, while Ben Hart is currently with Kidsgrove Athletic, managed by ex-Brewer Ryan Austin.
