BRAYFORD SAYS BREWERS MUST PUT THEIR OWN STAMP ON GAMES

8 February 2018

JOHN Brayford says that Ipswich Town are the most unpredictable team in the Championship but are capable of beating the best.

The Brewers travel to Portman Road on Saturday (kick off 3pm) with the defender looking for Albion to build on a good performance at promotion-chasing Aston Villa.

He said: “You never know what to expect against Ipswich. They could go and beat Wolves or lose three or four nil to somebody but they are always well organised.

“They have done well over recent years and it’s a tough place to go and the fans are passionate about their football club. What we have to do is go down there and put our own stamp on things. It’s the way we perform on the day that matters.

“We have done quite well on the road and we have to go into this game with the same mindset as against Aston Villa and see where that gets us on the day.”

Brayford hopes that Albion can start picking up the points needed to break free of the relegation zone.

“In a perfect world you wouldn’t want to be in the bottom three, but we have to deal with the situation in front of us. We can’t stop other teams picking up points, so we have to concentrate on ourselves and see it through to the end again.”
