BYWATER SAYS BREWERS CAN STAY UP IF THEY BEAT RELEGATION RIVALS

10 February 2018

STEPHEN Bywater says the players can take confidence from two good away performances and believe they can escape relegation.

Speaking after the 0-0 draw at Ipswich the Albion keeper said: "It's definitely still game on as we have to play the teams around us. Those games will be very critical.

"This is why football is brilliant. You get to the nitty gritty and you have to produce and I'm confident we can do it.

"We have always been realistic. We know we aren't going to win the league. We want to stay in the league and that's what we are going to do.

"We just have to do what the gaffer says. We all trust him and everything he says. If we do we will be alright."

Bywater was pleased with the way Albion took the game to Ipswich, deserving more than a 0-0 draw.

"We limited them to one shot today and we didn't play like a team in the bottom three. But it wasn't just today this builds on the back of the Villa performance.

"Everyone today has done as the gaffer has asked. There was no lack of concentration. We have gone out there focussed as a team.

"We came here and enjoyed it. I'm here for Burton trying to get us three points and keep a clean sheet.

"It's momentum now. We are playing with confidence and don't fear anyone and that's why we will do well."
