BOYCE AND CAMPBELL PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR MOVE AND LEARN COMMUNITY PROJECT

16 February 2018

BREWERS first team players Liam Boyce and Harry Campbell visited Mosley County Primary School, Anslow, this week as part of the Move & Learn project, delivered in local schools by staff of Burton Albion Community Trust.

The scheme, run by the EFL Trust and Ferrero, is a national school-based educational programme for children aged between 9 and 10 years of age.

The project encourages physical activity and nutritional awareness for a healthy diet and lifestyle, which includes six weeks of classroom and practical sporting sessions

Whilst getting involved with the programme, Boyce and Campbell also provided pupils with a question and answer session, so that the children could find out more about how a healthy lifestyle and diet benefits professional footballers and athletes.

Sam Groves, BACT community coach working on the programme, said: “Having Liam and Harry down from Burton Albion is fantastic for the children who are on the course.

“They can find out how exercise and a healthy diet can benefit them, whilst interacting with two professional footballers who can inspire them further, all whilst learning at school.”

So far the programme has been delivered to 1,495 schools and has reached 62,000 children nationally.
