NIGEL Clough is looking to continue his team’s good away form at Fulham on Saturday and the Brewers manager says he’s happy to be back on the road.
Clough said: “We are relieved it’s a road trip this weekend which is a strange feeling for a team to say we would rather be away. But with our abysmal home form that’s the way it is, and we feel more confident away from home.
“Whether that continues with such a good side as Fulham on Saturday we will see.”
Clough is frustrated by Albion’s run of ten home games without a win and would love to bring the team’s away form to the Pirelli Stadium.
He said: “Our success on the road comes from being solid and not giving anything away. We have found it hard to take that sort of performance into home games. There is an onus on the home side to be more creative.
“It’s logical that if it works away to do that at home and that’s what we are trying to get through to the players but they feel a level of expectation and a need to create at home. But you can still be nice and solid and wait to break on the away team.”
