MCFADZEAN: 'WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING AWAY'

17 January 2018

KYLE McFadzean says that Burton Albion’s home form is a huge concern to the team but says that building on draws will be key to moving forward at the Pirelli Stadium.

The Brewers have not won any of their last 10 home games, with a 0-0 draw against Norwich being the only point that Burton have picked up on their own patch since September.

McFadzean says that everyone at the club is desperate to turn the form around, but thinks that trying too hard for a win is proving to be a hindrance while confidence is so low.

He said: “We are looking forward to going away but we need to arrest our home form quickly, because we need to get some points at home and if we want to stay up, then we need to start winning at home, because I am sure we will not win every week away from home.

“It is really weird at the minute, at home, obviously confidence is a bit low at home. Everybody is relishing going away from home, but we need to address our home form. We are quite lucky really because we are still in the pack and we are not falling behind, but if don’t sort it out pretty quickly then I am sure we will start falling behind.

“We are all trying to work out what is going wrong, we are doing things to try to sort things out and hopefully we can sort it quickly.

“We need to build on draws and eventually the win will come. We got a draw against Norwich 0-0, it was a scrappy game on Saturday and we could have got a draw. Us trying so hard to get a win is not helping, we need to build on draws first and go from there.”
