BURTON Albion will not dwell on their defeat to Fulham, but the Brewers need to start playing with confidence, according to Lucas Akins.
Burton don’t play again until the 30th of January, due to Reading being in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Akins believes that the Brewers will move on quickly from their 6-0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage, and he says Burton must look to bounce-back quickly.
He said: “We go out and play against 11 men, at the end of the day. We cause problems for teams as we have shown in the last three away games (before Fulham). Teams may have more resources but anyone can beat anyone, as we showed with Fulham at home.
“That was a similar set of players and we managed to do the business, so we won’t be looking too much into that (the defeat at Craven Cottage). We will keep concentrating on ourselves, working quietly and confidently.
“It is time we got a bit of confidence back in us, we have had three fantastic results away from home prior to this (the Fulham game). We need to change the home form, there is no getting away from that, and if we want to stay in this division we will have to do it fast.”
