LLOYD DYER LEAVES BURTON ALBION

16 July 2018

LLOYD Dyer will not be re-joining Burton Albion for the 2018/19 season.

The winger was out of contract at the end of last season and will be 36 in September, but he was made an offer to continue at the Pirelli Stadium for a third season. However, after talks with the player, the club has decided to move on.

Brewers manager Nigel Clough said: “Lloyd has done very well for us over the last two seasons, especially the first season where he helped us stay up and we want to thank him for his contribution.

“But we have now decided it’s time to give an opportunity to our youngsters in League One. We have several options within the squad and it’s time to see what Ben Fox, Will Miller, Joe Sbarra and Marcus Harness can do for us.”
