BOYCE HELPS NORTHERN IRELAND EARN 2-1 WIN

26 March 2018

BREWERS striker Liam Boyce played a part in Northern Ireland’s 2-1 friendly win over South Korea.

Albion’s record-breaking summer signing last year looked like he might miss the entire season after picking up an ACL injury in a pre-season game at Shrewsbury.

But he made an unexpectedly quick recovery and was back in the Brewers team by February.

He returned to the Northern Ireland squad this month and Boyce came off the bench for the final half-hour of his country's win at Windsor Park replacing Conor Washington.

After learning that he had been called up Boyce said: “I’m delighted to be back in the squad, especially as it’s the first one I could have been picked for. It’s great to be back and I just hope I can get some minutes on the pitch and show what I can do.”
