CELEBRITY GAME LOCAL HERO COMPETITION

29 March 2018

ONE lucky person from the general public will get the chance to take part in the celebrity football match at the Pirelli Stadium.

Burton Albion and Burton Albion Community Trust are looking for nominations for a ‘local hero’ to take part in the fixture, which will see that person line-up against a host of well-known celebrities in a star-studded fixture at the Pirelli Stadium.

An unsung hero or inspirational person, will get the chance to rub shoulders with soap stars, TV favourites and pop artists that are among the celebrities who will play in the match at the home of Burton Albion on Sunday, April 29 – kick off 3pm.

The proceeds of the game will go to help support the adult and junior disability programmes delivered by Burton Albion’s charity arm.

Matt Hancock, Head of Community, said: “To be able to give someone from the local community a once-in-a-lifetime experience, as a reward for their efforts, is an opportunity that we felt we had to give to somebody.  We’re now on the hunt for a somebody who deserves special recognition as a local hero! It’s going to be a fantastic occasion and we look forward to announcing even more star names in the next few weeks”.

Email your nominations to bactadmin@burtonalbionct.org by 5pm on Monday 16th April (nominees must be aged 18+).
