LUCAS Akins was a double winner at the Players' Awards 2017/18 as the fans' and his team-mates' choice as the Player of the Season 2017/18
The popular player has filled multiple roles for the Brewers this season and has been with the club from League 2 to the Championship.
He said: "When I joined the club in League 2 being in the Championship was a dream. Playing for these supporters over the years has been great and we have had a lot of success this season and I hope that can continue. I relish the challenge of one of the best leagues in the world. I hope we can make history again on Sunday and make everyone proud."
Runner up in the fans' vote for Player of the Season was Tom Naylor who has become a mainstay of the Brewers defence since slotting in at centre back.
In all 11 awards were handed out last night with Darren Stride, the club's record appearance holder, becoming the first Albion legend to be inducted into the Hall of Fame after receiving the most nominations from supporters.
The awards night hosts were Dave Bryon and Mark Clemmit.
