ENGLAND U17s will face Norway in the Under 17s European Championship quarter final at Burton Albion on Sunday (6PM kick-off).
England U17s picked up two wins from their three group games to progress in second-place, behind Italy. The young Lions overcame the Italians and Israel, meaning that a 1-0 defeat to Switzerland did not prevent them from progressing.
Steve Cooper’s side will take on a Norway team which already has winning pedigree at Burton. The side beat Sweden 2-1 in the group stage in front of the Staffordshire crowd.
Following a successful start to tournament The FA have been working alongside local schools to engage children in the area.
The FA’s Tournament Manager Andy Carter said: “Before the tournament started our strategy alongside UEFA was to engage the local communities and get children coming to the matches to watch the stars of the future.
“We’ve had nearly 25,000 supporters attend the championships so far and the support has been fantastic, and we hope this continues tomorrow and across the weekend."
The venues for the remaining quarter-finals will be set and communicated after the conclusion of the group stages on Friday.
