BOYCE STARTS FOR NORTHERN IRELAND

30 May 2018

LIAM Boyce played 72 minutes for Northern Ireland in their 0-0 draw with Panama in Panama City this morning.

The Brewers forward started for Michael O’Neill’s side to earn his 12th cap. The striker, who joined Albion from Ross County last summer, featured 16 times for Nigel Clough’s side last season and scored three goals. He was replaced by Oldham Athletic's Ryan McLaughlin in the second-half.

Northern Ireland’s next game comes on Sunday, when they face another Costa Rica who, like Panama, are preparing for the 2018 World Cup, which kicks-off in Russia next month.

Panama have one more game to play before they travel to Russia. The World Cup debutants face Norway in Oslo on June 6. In the group stage of the Wold Cup, Panama will face Belgium, Tunisia and England.
