DAMIEN McCrory says that the Brewers will be looking to progress in the FA Cup when they travel to face Scunthorpe United this weekend.

Albion will be looking for their first win in the competition for five years, having suffered defeats Watford and Birmingham City in the previous two seasons.

McCrory says that the Brewers will enjoy playing in the competition and hopes that the side can progress to the second-round and beyond.

He said: “It is a great competition. Sadly, since I have been here we have not had too much luck in it. It would be nice to have a cup run in the FA Cup. It is one of the best cups around, history-wise.

“It would be nice to progress to the third-round, and then even further than that.

“Everyone enjoys the FA Cup. The atmosphere is different, even the ball is different. It is a nice cup to be involved in. As a player, you want to progress as far as you can in the cup.”
