PREVIEW: SCUNTHORPE UNITED VS BREWERS

THE Brewers will be looking to win in the FA Cup for the first time in five years when they face Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park today.

The two sides met earlier this season at the Pirelli Stadium and played out a 0-0 draw. Prior to this, four meetings had taken place between the two sides, with Burton Albion winning just once.

 

BURTON ALBION TEAM NEWS 

Nigel Clough is waiting on the fitness of several key players as the Brewers head into FA Cup First Round action at Scunthorpe on Saturday (kick off 3pm).

Ben Turner, Reece Hutchinson, Stephen Quinn, John Brayford, Kyle McFadzean and Scott Fraser are all nursing injuries.

 

SCUNTHORPE UNITED TEAM NEWS

Forward Stephen Humphrys will be available for selection this afternoon, while Funso Ojo and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson could miss out due to injury.

 

OFFICIALS

Andy Haines has taken charge of 12 matches across all competitions this season and has issued 39 yellow cards. He has also shown three red cards and awarded two penalties.

Tickets are now off sale at the Pirelli Stadium but are cash turnstiles will we open at Glanford Park ahead of today’s game.
