BREWERS ATTEND BACT MENTAL HEALTH SESSION

14 November 2018

FIRST Team players Jamie Allen and on-loan midfielder Jake Hesketh have attended a Burton Albion Community Trust mental health session this afternoon.

‘Head for Goal’ is football therapy session which uses football to help individuals suffering from Mental Health, funded by The Big Lottery Fund. The aim of the session is to build the confidence and social skills of its’ participants, with the help of guidance towards living an active lifestyle, through the power of sport.

Sessions take place every Tuesday between 1-2pm at The Meadowside Leisure Centre. Individuals aged from 16 plus, who currently suffer from anxiety, stress or depression are also given the opportunity to access support through employability skills and career advice following their practical involvement.
