FORMER Liverpool and Wigan goalkeeper Chris Kirkland will be among the guests at a Pirelli Stadium event promoting wellbeing in the workplace.
Healthy People, Healthy Business will be hosted by BBC TV presenter Mark Clemmit and will take place on Thursday, January 31 at 12pm.
The latest event in the Inspiring Your Future series at the home of Burton Albion FC will put the spotlight on workplace wellbeing and the benefits it can bring to a business.
As well as Chris Kirkland, who recently spoke out about his mental health issues, there will be tips and advice on the day from Admiral Sir Trevor Soar, former Commander in Chief of the Royal Navy and Royal Submarines and Aurea Fellows, who specialises in leadership assessment, development and coaching.
Burton Albion Commercial Director Fleur Robinson: “As a business we are committed to creating a sustainable working environment for everyone and I want to share this passion with you as a local business leader and by doing so it will hopefully make a difference to our local business community.
“This promises to be an inspirational lunch providing you with the opportunity to network and learn from experts, discover the secrets of wellbeing success and take away practical advice to make a difference in your business.”
Arrival will be from 11.30am with a welcome drink and a prompt start to a two-course lunch at 12pm. The main event will conclude around 2pm but will be followed by a further opportunity for networking. Single places or tables can be booked. The cost is £25 per person plus VAT. To make a booking, please email raj.athwal@burtonalbionfc.co.
Any proceeds from this event will be used to deliver a wellbeing programme by Burton Albion Community Trust and charity partner MIND within the local area.
