BRAYFORD WANTS BREWERS TO PUT THINGS RIGHT

4 October 2018

JOHN Brayford was frustrated by Tuesday night’s defeat to Southend United but says that the squad are eager to put things right as quickly as possible.

The Brewers appeared to be in control of the game against Chris Powell’s side and missed a host of first-half opportunities before two second-half goals from the visitors turned the game on its head.

Brayford believes that the Brewers performed well in the weeks that followed their previous league defeat, a 3-1 loss to Oxford United in August, and wants the side to bounce back from the Southend result at the earliest possible chance.

“You have seen the progression in the last few weeks from the Oxford game, the performances and the way that we have played football in those games as well. We did that for 45 minutes against Southend, but we all know that a game is played over 90 minutes.

“In this league, the games come thick and fast. There is another one on Saturday to put it right.

“We got a point on Saturday and the idea was to get three points on Tuesday night, like it is in every game. Four points from those two games would have been a good total really. We were in control all the way up until half-time really.

“We have got an opportunity to put it right.”
