9 October 2018

THE Brewers travel to Vale Park this evening as they look to pick up their first points in the Checkatrade Trophy group stage.

HEAD 2 HEAD

Nigel Clough will send a strong team to Port Vale for tomorrow's Checkatrade Trophy clash but will be missing some key players through injury.

David Templeton missed Saturday's game at Wycombe with a shoulder injury and will almost certainly be absent again and Stephen Quinn and John Brayford are also unlikely to be in the squad.

Liam Boyce will also be absent as he is on international duty with Northern Ireland.

None of Emmanuel Oyeleke, Cristian Montano, James Gibbons and Scott Quigley featured for Port Vale at the weekend due to injury. Montano is sidelined with a long-term injury, while Oyeleke, Gibbons and Quigley have all be out due to respective hamstring, hip and thigh injuries.

It is unknown if any of the latter trio will feature in tonight’s game.
