MIDFIELDER Jamie Allen is expecting a battle against Bristol Rovers, and says the Brewers must start the game well if they are to have a good chance of getting a result.

Albion have not won in their last three League One games, losing two of them by single goal margins despite dominating the matches.

Bristol Rovers are in similarly poor form, having scored the joint-lowest amount of League One goals this season. They are currently inside the relegation zone and Allen is expecting a tough battle as the visitors fight for much-needed points on Saturday.

He said: “I think that, to be fair, every game is going to be a battle. In the first 10,15, 20 minutes, you have to earn the right to play with the ball.

“They (Bristol Rovers) are going into their next game thinking ‘we need a win and get those points on the board. They will come here and be scrapping for a point or three points. It is always going to be tough to play against them but we just have to play our game, and focus on ourselves, hopefully the results will come.”
