BURTON Albion stars Scott Fraser and David Templeton attended a Burton Albion Community Trust over 50’s session yesterday.
Golden Goal is an activity session for the members of our community who are aged 50 years and over. The session lasts for two hours and is delivered by BACT staff. During the sessions there is a mixture of physical activity such as bowls, skittles, curling and table tennis, as well as other social activities, such as, dominoes, cards or bingo.
Both players spent time and speaking to participants, before signing autographs and posing for photographs. Before both players left the session, they also got challenged by weekly regular participants to a game of table tennis.
John Widdowson, Health and Inclusion manager for BACT, said: “It’s was great to get both of the lads along to our Golden Goal session.
“It put a lot of smiles on faces, as the participants didn’t know that anybody was coming.”
“Both of them really got engaged and that’s what it’s all about.”
