HESKETH AIMING TO ADD GOALS TO HIS GAME

19 October 2018

JAKE Hesketh admits that he wants to add goals to his game, although the midfielder is not worrying about when his first Brewers strike will come.

The youngster, who is on-loan from Premier League Southampton, is yet to net for the Brewers but he has gone close on numerous occasions, even striking the woodwork against Burnley in the Carabao Cup and Southend in the league.

Hesketh is not worrying about his lack of goals so far but he would like to add to his goal-threat.

He said: “I would love to get a few goals. In the position that I play, it is something that needs to be added (to my game). It is something that I have always done growing up, through the under 18s and 21s at Southampton. It is something that I want to bring here and hopefully help the team with.

“I would have obviously liked for it (a first goal) to have already come. It is just one of those things that I need to add in to my game, goals and assists which will benefit the team. I want it to come a little bit, but it will come when it comes.”
