DAVID Templeton says that the support of the Burton Albion fans is crucial to the team’s confidence, as the Brewers made it back-to-back wins on Saturday.
Albion followed up Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup win over Aston Villa with a 3-0 victory against AFC Wimbledon at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday, in which Templeton netted his first league goal for the club.
The Scottish winger was pleased with the support of the Pirelli Stadium faithful in the wins and says that supporters getting behind the team will contribute to the confidence of the team.
He said: “It’s massive, especially after last week (against Oxford) where we were disappointing. We did not play as well as we had been, so we had to play well (against Villa and AFC Wimbledon) and a good win for the fans. They were right behind us, which obviously helps.
“It makes a massive difference when you are winning games and the fans are behind you. The confidence goes up and you feel good about everything. It is massive to keep picking up wins and, hopefully, if we can keep doing that then the fans will get behind us every game.”
