BOYCE KEEN TO KEEP MOMENTUM GOING AGAINST SCUNTHORPE

27 September 2018

STRIKER Liam Boyce is hoping that the Brewers can keep the momentum from their win over Premier League Burnley going when they face Scunthorpe United at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday.

Boyce scored and assisted as Albion overcame higher league opposition in the Carabao Cup, while Nigel Clough’s side have also won their last three home League One games.

Boyce believes that the Brewers have put a shaky start behind them and are now looking to keep their confidence high against Scunthorpe.

He said: “We know that we had a bad start. Even though we were creating chances we weren’t taking them. We were also leaky at the back but we fixed that and we are a more solid unit now. We really need to take advantage and keep doing what we are doing.

“We need to keep the momentum going.  No one expected this performance (against Burnley) and it just reinforces what we are doing and we need to keep that confidence and momentum going.

“If we are doing it against a Premier League team, it should work in League One and anyone else that we play. So we need to keep concentrating, keep disciplined and doing what we are doing.”
