BURTON Albion Football Club is offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our Academy Medical team.

This is a rare opportunity for those wishing to apply their skills within a professional football club environment and to work with young footballers within a thriving Club Academy. 

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, hardworking and passionate about working within football. The successful candidate will be based at the Pirelli Stadium and the world class training facility St George's Park. This is a full-time role demanding flexibility to work regular evenings and weekends, plus regular travel to away matches. 

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent). The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 years’ membership with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Successful candidates will preferably have experience in the provision of physiotherapy within a professional football club environment. 

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to implement and evaluate physiotherapy for young footballers and maintain confidentiality at all times. Candidates will possess excellent communication skills to ensure medical staff and coaches are fully informed of the player’s progress.

We are looking for individuals who are proactive and can work calmly under pressure whilst unsupervised. The successful candidate will also provide a link between the First Team and the Academy Sports Science and Medical Team to include, assisting with First Team needs as directed by the First Team Head of Sports Science and Medicine.
