THE Pirelli Stadium will be hosting a school reunion event to celebrate the birthday of a long-serving former Burton Albion director.

Colin Brodie served on the Burton Albion board for more than three decades and is celebrating his 90th birthday.

Colin (pictured below) also enjoyed a long teaching career at The Forest of Needwood School and to help celebrate his landmark birthday, the football club is inviting former pupils and staff who were associated with the school between 1952 and 1966 to a reunion.

The event will take place at the Pirelli Stadium on Monday, August 19 with a 7pm start time.

Tickets cost £10 with proceeds going to Burton Albion Community Trust to support the charity’s work in the town. There will be a meal provided to guests on the evening, with the menu to be confirmed.

Burton Albion Chairman Ben Robinson said: “Colin made a massive contribution to Burton Albion over many years and we wanted to mark his 90thbirthday.

“He also enjoyed an inspirational teaching career and our event at the Pirelli Stadium will give all those people who remember Colin from his time at the Forest of Needwood chance to come along and talk about those times.

“We hope to see as many people as possible at this special celebration.”
