FORMER Burton Albion fan favourites Aaron Webster, Lee Bell, Dale Anderson and Stuart Tomlinson will be starring in the Pirelli Stadium celebrity fixture in September.
Webster (591 appearances), Anderson (106 appearances), Bell (100 appearances) and Tomlinson (26 appearances) will all feature alongside a number of high-profile and current celebrity names in the charity fixture, with proceeds from the game going towards mental health programmes delivered by Burton Albion Community Trust (BACT).
Recently it was announced that ITV Love Island stars Tom Walker, Marvin Brooks, Callum Macleod, Danny Williams and Jack Fowler will all be taking part in the fixture, alongside the likes of Emmerdale’s Joe Plant, TOWIE’s James ‘Arg’ Argent and F2 Freestyler Jeremy Lynch.
Aaron Webster, who is also BACT Football and Education First Team Manager, said: “It’s great to have a number of ex-players playing in the game, especially as they all had such a great affinity with the fans.
“I know there’s still going to be a number of other great names announced for the game, both ex-Albion and celebrities.
“It will be great to see as many fans as possible turn out, as I know the lads are keen to see plenty of familiar faces. On top of this, another bonus is the fact that proceeds are going towards a fantastic charity and cause.”
More celebrity names will also be announced shortly, as well as a ‘local hero’ competition, which will give one lucky winner from the local public the chance to play in the game.
