NIGEL Clough is hoping that John-Joe O’Toole will be fit for tomorrow’s trip to Shrewsbury after missing the 4-2 win at Oxford on Tuesday.
The summer signing has been impressive at centre back this season and hopefully has shaken off a couple of niggling injuries.
The Brewers manager said: “The rest has done John-Joe good and he’s now in contention to be back involved. His knocks meant he couldn’t keep playing Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday but hopefully now he’s had that break he will be available.”
Shrewsbury also had an impressive away win in midweek. They were 2-0 down at Accrington with 13 minutes left to play but scored three times to turn the game around.
Clough said: “They will get a big boost from being 2-0 down with just over ten minutes to go and winning it. Only once a season or two seasons will you get that kind of comeback. When you score three late on, they feel like big, big victories.”
Tickets for tomorrow’s game go off sale today at the Pirelli Stadium at 4pm.
Supporters will be able to pay on the day – cash only - at the DM Recruitment Stand.
