SELLEBRITY SOCCER | BURTON ALBION CT LOOKING FOR 'LOCAL HERO' TO PLAY IN CELEBRITY GAME

30 August 2019

ONE lucky person will be rewarded with the chance to take part in our second celebrity football match at the Pirelli Stadium.

Burton Albion are looking for nominations for a ‘local hero’ to take part in the fixture, and that person will subsequently line-up against a host of well-known celebrities in the star-studded fixture.

An unsung hero or inspirational person will get the chance to take to the Pirelli Stadium pitch alongside soap stars, TV personalities, pop artists and many other celebrities, all of whom will play in the match at the home of Burton Albion on Sunday, September 22 – kick off 3pm.

Matt Hancock, Head of Community, said: “To be able to give someone from the local community a once-in-a-lifetime experience as a reward for their efforts, is an opportunity that we felt we wanted to give to somebody again.

"Last time, Stuart Bacon got an incredible experience to play in the game and it was a no brainer to give somebody this type of special recognition again.”

Email your nominations to bactadmin@burtonalbionct.org by 12pm on Friday 13th September (nominees must be aged 18+).
