BREWERS SHOW SUPPORT FOR RAINBOW LACES CAMPAIGN AGAINST LINCOLN CITY

6 December 2019

BURTON Albion are proud to support the Rainbow Laces campaign in this weekend's game at home to Lincoln City.

The Brewers take on City at the Pirelli Stadium tomorrow (3pm kick-off) in our Sky Bet League One game.

As part of our support for the initiative from Stonewall, rainbow-coloured corner flags will replace our traditional yellow ones while whoever is named captain for the Brewers will wear a rainbow captain's armband.

Club-specific rainbow pennants will also be exchanged before kick-off as both clubs back the Rainbow Laces campaign.

The club have also added the rainbow flag to our social media avatars, and all social media graphics, for the duration of the campaign, in support.

Club Chairman, Ben Robinson MBE, has written in his programme notes why the club are supporting the campaign.

"Equality and the end of discrimination is something we are proud to support at Burton Albion which is why our corner flags will have the rainbow colours and why we will be supporting the campaign," wrote Robinson.
