BREWERS PLAYERS JOIN FESTIVE CELEBRATIONS

11 December 2019

BURTON Albion’s first team players, staff and Academy Scholars were in attendance today at Burton Albion Community Trust’s (BACT) annual Over 50s Christmas Party at the Pirelli Stadium.

The lunch saw players and staff spend the afternoon dining and interacting with local members of the community, many of which who regularly attend BACT programmes.

EFL Trust Extra Time Hub, Active Recovery Cancer Rehabilitation session and SING participants, all of which attend the weekly programmes run by BACT, made up the room of more than 200 people, in which some participants also performed during the afternoon entertainment.

Throughout the day, players and staff joined the guests for conversation, posed for photos and signed autographs.

Matt Hancock, Head of Community, said: “It was a fantastic occasion and we’re really grateful to Nigel Clough for allowing this to happen.

“Moments like this help to show what a special and unique club we have, and it once again shows how the community is at the forefront of everything that Burton Albion does and is about.”
