JAKE Flannigan and Jake Hesketh have both returned to Southampton following the expiration of their loan spells with Burton Albion.
The pair originally signed loan deals until January 2 back on August 30.
Hesketh made 23 appearances for The Brewers after arriving - scoring three goals, including winners in our Carabao Cup games against Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough.
The 22-year-old also netted a fine first League goal against Portsmouth in October, but unfortunately suffered a hamstring injury in our 3-1 win over Wycombe Wanderers on Boxing Day.
Jake Flannigan made his debut for The Brewers in our Checkatrade Trophy game against Walsall in September, starting at right-back in his first senior appearance.
“Both players have gone back to Southampton as they currently have injuries,” said Brewers boss Nigel Clough.
“It’s unfortunate for Jake Hesketh that his has come at this particular time, and we’ll be monitoring his situation going forward.”
Burton Albion thanks both Jake Hesketh and Jake Flannigan for their efforts at the club over the last few months, and wish them well in their recoveries.
