BREWERS defender Ben Turner praised the supporters for making the journey to Manchester City last night.
Many fans endured a tough journey to the Etihad Stadium for our Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg against Manchester City, with traffic delays meaning that the journey took considerably longer than expected.
Turner thanked the supporters that were able to attend the historic fixture, but admits the team would have liked to have gotten a better result for them.
“It is fantastic that so many came to support us, we are a little club, even in our own league, but compared to this club (Manchester City) and this place, we are a tiny club.
“Everyone stuck together, we are genuinely sorry that we could not do better for them.
“Thank you for coming out and supporting us. I have been here for three seasons now and they are a positive bunch of fans. I have played for fans who would get on your back for less, so they are a great bunch and we really appreciate the support.
“It is key now, for them and us, let’s kick-on in the league now.”
