INJURY UPDATE: DONCASTER

16 January 2019

NIGEL Clough should have close to a full squad to choose from as the Brewers head to Doncaster Rovers on Saturday (kick off 3pm).

The Brewers were forced to make changes in the 3-2 defeat to Gillingham after illness hit the camp and ruled out Jake Buxton and Marcus Harness on the day of the game.

But with no midweek match the Brewers squad has been able to have a welcome chance to recover.

Clough said: “After so many games, it’s a good time to get a breather ahead of another big week.

“Everybody seems OK again after the illness. It was a 48-hour bug and Marcus and Jake are now back training."

Kyle McFadzean has returned to the bench in the last two games after recovering from an abdominal injury and Marvin Sordell is also back on the grass after having not played since having to come off at Scunthorpe in the FA Cup on November 10.

The main concerns for Clough are two players who have picked up knocks in training.

He said: “Liam Boyce got a whack yesterday morning and we will have to see how he is towards the weekend and Will Miller kicked the bottom of somebody’s foot and his knock was painful but he should be fit for the weekend.”
