BURTON Albion Academy player John Joe Power has been called up by the Replublic of Ireland under 15s for an upcoming international tournament in Spain.
Power became the Academy’s first-every age group international when he made his Ireland debut in a double-header against Poland in November, coming on as a substitute in the first game before starting the second a few days later.
The Young Brewer has once again been named in Jason Donohue’s squad, who will face Spain, the Netherlands and Hungary during the tournament.
Power is one of only three English-based players to feature in the 20-player squad, with Birmingham City and Tottenham Hotspur also represented alongside Burton Albion.
The Republic of Ireland under-15 fixtures for the tournament are:
30/1/19: Republic of Ireland v Spain, Pinatar Arena, 13:00 (14:00 local time)
1/2/19: Republic of Ireland v Netherlands, Pinatar Arena, 16:00 (17:00 local time)
3/2/19: Republic of Ireland v Hungary, Pinatar Arena, 13:00 (14:00 local time)
