BURTON Albion will be helping raise awareness of breast and prostate cancer with posters around the Pirelli Stadium.
More than 55,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK, while one in eight men will get prostate cancer during their lifetime.
The club hopes that clear messages for men and women to make sure they get checked and spot early signs of problems will help save lives.
Burton Albion Commercial Director Fleur Robinson said: “This is something simple but also effective that we can do to target two of the biggest cancer problems facing men and women.
“The posters will be visible to all those attending on matchdays and I hope our efforts will help raise awareness amongst our fans.”
The club and Burton Albion Community Trust have already been at the forefront of the battle against prostate cancer with a ground-breaking screening programme at the Pirelli Stadium organised with Burton’s Queen’s Hospital.
