JOBS FAIR VOTED A BIG SUCCESS

30 July 2019

THE Pirelli Stadium was delighted to host the biggest Jobs Fair to be held to date at the home of Burton Albion.

It was organised by Burton MP Andrew Griffiths in conjunction with Burton and District Chamber of Commerce and Burton Jobcentre Plus.

A total of 50 companies offered 3,000 job opportunities with businesses attending including Marmite producer Unilever, modular housing construction firm Top Hat, and Hilton at St George's Park.

There was plenty on offer for those seeking a job, or looking for a career change including advice on training and volunteering as well as how to produce a great CV

More than 500 people attended the annual event which has helped thousands of people from Burton and Uttoxeter with their job hunts in recent years.

Mr Griffiths said: “What a success! 50 companies, 3,000 jobs and over 500 people attending my jobs fair. It was great to see people going away with job interviews and so many employers excited to find great new team members.”

Burton Albion Chairman Ben Robinson said: “We are always pleased to host the Jobs Fair. It’s a great event for all the people in the town and  we are always delighted that Andrew Griffiths chooses the Pirelli Stadium to be the venue.”
