NIGEL Clough said getting a home win against Blackpool sets the Brewers up for the next two games which are both at the Pirelli Stadium.
With three home games in a row it was vital for Albion to record a first home victory of 2019 and now the Brewers can look forward with added confidence to Accrington next Saturday and then Barnsley on April 6.
The Brewers manager said: “It’s a relief, especially with three home games on the spin, winning that first one is very important
“Now we go into Accrington next week in a different frame of mind and we want to continue the form we have shown against Blackpool.”
The Brewers recorded an emphatic 3-0 win over Blackpool on Saturday – reversing the result at Bloomfield Road and Clough says that result “has been coming”.
He said: “The performance wasn’t very different from the previous home games where we haven’t always had the result we deserved so that result was definitely coming.”
