LORD Digby Jones will be the guest of honour at a special Business Dinner being held at the Pirelli Stadium.
The event takes place on Friday, April 5, and includes a four-course meal.
It starts as 7pm with additional guest speakers.
Lord Digby Jones is a well-known British businessman and cross-bench peer who served as Director General of the Confederation of British Industry for six years from 2000 to 2006 and was knighted in 2005.
He was appointed Minister of State for UK Trade and Investment from 2007-08. Not a parliamentarian at the time, he was made a life peer and took up a seat in the House of Lords.
Constantly in the media spotlight, Lord Jones is a familiar face on TV and voice on radio with his insightful opinions often requested from the media at home and abroad.
He has published two well-received books, Fixing Britain – The Business of Re-shaping Our Nation (2011) and Fixing Business - Making Profitable Business Work for the Good of All (2017).
His TV work includes presenting the BBC2 TV Series The New Business Troubleshooter – helping firms reach their full potential. He won BBC TV’s Celebrity Mastermind with a nine-point margin finishing on 33 points on January 5, 2011. He beat Simon O'Brien, Jason Merrells and Terry Christian and his specialist subject was the Kings and Queens of England.
Lord Jones is also noted for his charity work including being involved with Cancer Research UK, The Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity and Ovarian Cancer Action
The cost of the Business Dinner is £50 per person and the dress code is smart.
There will be a drinks reception from 7pm with dinner service starting at 7.30pm.
