NIGEL Clough believes a short-term loan to National League promotion-chasers Solihull Moors will be a “brilliant experience” for Joe Sbarra
The 20-year-old joined up with Solihull earlier this week and came off the bench as the Moors drew 2-2 with Boreham Wood on Tuesday.
The Albion manager said: “It was important for him to go somewhere where they are challenging for the league.
“They are a big strong physical side and he’s completely different to what they have got. It will be a brilliant experience for him and there is a 28-day recall so he could come back for the last three games of the season if we needed him.
“Joe has been here since he was 15 so it’s a different experience and it will do him good.
“Sometimes when you send people out on loan people think it is because you don’t want them when it’s quite the opposite. It’s because we do want them and we need them to get that experience and like Marcus Harness and Ben Fox, when they come back, they are better for it.
“Joe is one a group of young players we see as forming the nucleus of our team and this will be an important experience for him.”
