SUPPORTERS' SURVEY RESULTS REVEALED

23 May 2019

THE welcoming nature of the Pirelli Stadium and the friendliness of the Burton Albion FC staff have been highlighted by the latest supporters’ survey.

The annual opportunity for fans to air their views on all aspects of the matchday experience is an important part of the club’s engagement with supporters. It covers everything from ticket purchasing and merchandise to refreshment kiosks and matchday hospitality.

Overall, fans rated the matchday experience as 8.1 out of 10. Fans also praised the way the club interacts with the community (8.8) and the feeling of safety at the Pirelli Stadium (9). Fans also said that BAFC staff were friendly (8.5) and that stewards were helpful (7.8).

Fans were invited to make specific comments on the overall matchday experience, all of which have been read and taken into consideration, and which will influence Burton Albion thinking going forward.

Burton Albion Commercial Director Fleur Robinson said: “I want to thank all the fans who responded to the survey.

“We are delighted that the overwhelming majority of fans thoroughly enjoy the matchday experience here at the Pirelli Stadium, but we always know there is room for improvement, and we are always striving for excellence.

“We have taken on board the feedback and as a result we will be looking to enhance our matchday offering for families and we will be looking at having a hospitality offering for regular supporters at some fixtures.

“We are also continuing to monitor the queues at the refreshment kiosks on matchdays and are continually looking at ways of improving the service.”

Burton Albion Community Trust’s Head of Community Matt Hancock said: “The fans’ survey is a vital tool in helping us shape the matchday experience and we always look seriously at the findings.

“We are now working on a new matchday offering aimed at families with a full timetable of activities aimed at children and this will take on board comments from the survey.

“Overall we will look at all the results and look to make improvements in all the areas. This approach is clearly working as we can see an improvement in the majority of ratings compared with last year’s survey results.”
