BURTON Albion Academy manager Dan Robinson has previewed tonight’s FA Youth Cup game at the Pirelli Stadium, as the Young Brewers take on Bolton Wanderers (7pm kick-off).
The second round fixture follows the young squad’s excellent come-back win against Chesterfield, and a place in the third round with another home tie, this time against Millwall, awaits for the victors.
Dan Robinson said: "It is a fantastic opportunity to see the young players from the football club that will be the future Joe Sbarra’s, Marcus Harness’s, Ben Fox’s, Reece Hutchinson’s and Matty Palmer’s.
“There are numerous players within the Academy that are progressing towards first-team football, and players are regularly training with the first-team.”
Academy manager Robinson was also keen to show his enthusiasm that fans would be able to come down and support the youngsters as they look to progress in the youth-equivalent of the country’s most illustrious cup-competition:
“For fans to get an opportunity to see them playing at home, in such a prestigious competition, is fantastic for any supporter of the football club.”
