THE Burton Albion Ladies Senior team have new front-of-shirt sponsors as they look to the future.
Both the home and away kits will carry the branding of Infinity IT Solutions as the ladies continue the Women’s National League Division 1 Midlands season – step 4 in the women’s game.
Fleur Robinson, Burton Albion Commercial Director, said: “We are making important strides with the women’s game here at Burton Albion and this is just another step on that continuing journey.
“We are delighted that Infinity will be partnering with us and helping support that growth.
“There are exciting times ahead for not only the ladies’ senior team but through all age groups as we bring on the next generation of players and there will be more important announcements to come.”
Infinity has just celebrated its 10th anniversary and wanted to support the women’s game.
Chris Richards, Account Manager, at Infinity IT Solutions, said: “We are delighted to be associated with Burton Albion Football Club and especially the ladies. We love supporting local businesses and being part of the community and this sponsorship is another example of this.
“We think ladies’ football is going to grow massively after the success of the World Cup last year and the interest is booming. We wanted to get involved and the opportunity here at Burton Albion was perfect for a local business.”
James Billings, BALFC manager, said: “We are trying to build something here for the ladies and this partnership will make that stronger and help us create something to last for the future.
“It’s all one big family here at Burton Albion with everything under the same umbrella and that’s just pushing everything forward.”
Hayleigh Sutton plays left wing for the ladies’ team.
She said: “I have been playing for the ladies since I was 16. I have just come back from injury and it will be my first game on Sunday and I’m looking forward to being back in the team.
Natasha Rothery, centre midfielder, said: “With the new management coming in and new players it’s looking good. Wins are coming and we are looking to grow as a team not just individuals.”
The ladies will be wearing the new kit on Sunday when they travel to TNS with a 2pm kick off.
